Bucharest, October 28. The easybox locker with number 2 000, which we inaugurated today, represents a premiere for Romania, being the first locker powered entirely by solar energy and equipped with an air quality sensor.
The new easybox unit, located in Bucharest, does not require connection to the electricity network. The autonomous locker includes photovoltaic panels, which allow direct supply of solar energy and has a high-capacity internal battery, optimized by the Sameday specialists. This ensures the operation of the device, regardless of the weather conditions.
After testing various energy efficiency technologies for the easybox service, Sameday specialists have developed the technical solution for the standalone locker together with Darcom Energy, using Victron Energy equipment. Next, we intend to expand the project to help reduce CO2 emissions in cities in Romania and Hungary, the countries where Sameday operates.
Also, the endowment of easybox 2000 with an intelligent air quality monitoring sensor is part of the green strategy we are building. Sameday aims to develop processes for monitoring, control and reduction of the carbon footprint to complement measures already implemented such as developing a fleet of vehicles with 0 CO2 emissions, reducing paper consumption through digital document management systems and the use of packaging made from recycled materials.
