Through these services, Sameday offers to its customers an optimal solution for fast delivery of small and medium sized postal items (parcel) through a fully automated collection and/or delivery system, respectively through easybox/locker machines (hereinafter referred to as “locker“/”easybox“), consisting of an automatic terminal, made of metal, in the form of a cabinet with several storage compartments (boxes/drawers), secured in multiple ways, accessible to customers 24/7 based on a code, with non-stop program or distinct opening hours, when the program is not non-stop.

The services offered by Sameday are regulated by the provisions of Ordinance no.13/2013 of the provision of postal services, by Decision no.925/2023 on the general authorization regime for the provision of postal services, as well as by the General Conditions for the provision of postal services approved by ANCOM (which can be found on the page https://sameday.ro/termeni-si-conditii/?lang=en).
Features and advantages of locker/ easybox:
ensures the information of recipients by e-mail and by notification sent through SAMEDAY App, at the time of loading postal items into locker boxes (compartments), about locker access data.
ensures recipients’ access to the delivered postal items, 24/7, depending on the location of the locker and their strategic location, according to the information found on the page https://sameday.ro/easybox/.
offers to the recipients the possibility to enter into the Sameday’s postal network the postal items related to the orders generated by them through the eAWB application.
has a display that allows to the customers the access to its boxes, based on QR COD or PIN.
It is equipped with electronic locks and an integrated video surveillance system.
It can be used both for delivering postal items for the attention of the recipients and also for taking them over and returning them in the attention of the senders.
It has the following components and dimensions:
A standard locker has dimensions (L*l*h) 350*80*215 cm and contains an ATM payment system, a QR scan, a PIN confirmation.
A storage column consists of 10 (ten) boxes with the following dimensions: 2 (two) large boxes: 445 x 390 x 470 mm; 3 (three) medium boxes; 445 x 200 x 470 mm and 5 (five) small boxes: 445 x 100 x 470 mm
The maximum permissible weight of a postal item/parcel taken over through the locker is 20 kg.
Benefits of locker/easybox delivery options:
The delivery of a postal item is made through the locker indicated on the AWB by the sender, as long as the chosen locker is available, with free space for taking over and delivering the postal item.
“easybox to easybox” – If, at the time of delivery of the postal item, the selected locker has the maximum load capacity occupied or is technically defective, Sameday will not return the postal item to the sender for this impossibility of delivery, but will be directed to another locker near the initially locker selected by the sender for delivery and mentioned on the AWB, at no cost.
Under these circumstances, the recipient of the postal item will be informed in writing, informatically (by SMS or email or SAMEDAY App) about all aspects related to the operational flow of the postal item or through endorsements, its approval being made both before redirecting the postal item to another locker and after its actual redirection.
“Home Delivery to easybox” – If, before the moment of delivery of the postal item to the address mentioned on the AWB, the recipient requests us – through the SAMEDAY App – that the delivery to be made through the locker/easybox, Sameday will check the dimensions and the weight of this postal item and, if it considers that it is eligible for delivery through the locker/easybox, will respond to the recipient’s request, at no cost.
Users of the services offered by Sameday through lockers must comply with the following rules:
not to leave the doors of the locker storage boxes open.
not to leave/not to forget in the locker personal belongings (banking card, wallet, keys, etc).
not to deliver – through the locker – empty postal items or postal items containing goods other than those as are subject to return to senders, as Sameday’s customers.
not to mark – through selections made on the locker display – actions that they do not take or do not coincide with reality.
not to force the doors of the boxes/drawers of the locker and not to bring any destruction of it.
to throw the packaging of postal items delivered through the locker only in those special places arranged for their collection.
In the case of orders containing one or more postal items consolidated in the same box, the Customer has the obligation to carefully consult the information provided on the locker’s display before proceeding to pick up the postal items and also the customer must ensure that the box premises remain empty before closing its door and completing the delivery process.
The recipients are forbidden to return a postal item with “return” status to easybox without having expressly requested Sameday to perform a new service related to this flow logic.
Such parcels are not considered as “postal items”, they will not have any information in the Sameday’s informatic system in order to process it in the Sameday’s postal network, and in conclusion, these parcels with “return” status will be treated as abandoned goods by the recipient in the locker.
In the case of a postal items with “return” status, for which the Customer has made to the attention of Sameday an order for the provision of a postal service, when loading them into the locker, the Customer has the obligation to carefully consult the information displayed on the locker’s display and to ensure that the delivery of the postal item is done correctly (respectively in the box allocated by the Sameday’s informatic system, through the electronic information received by the Customer), regardless of whether or not there are one or more boxes already opened.
Terms of use of lockers/ easybox and responsibilities:
Users of the services offered by Sameday through lockers must consider the following:
Sameday, in its capacity as a postal and courier service provider, assumes no liability towards Customers/Beneficiaries and payers of the services ordered and performed through the locker, for any of the direct or indirect damages it may suffer as a result of non-compliance with the provisions of Chapter 3 [Rules on the use of lockers/easybox], from
When the beneficiary of a service, in his capacity as a sender, requests the takeover, delivery, redirection or return of a postal item from the recipient (and/or third parties) through the locker, the beneficiary has the obligation to transmit to the recipient (and/or third parties) the transportation document (AWB) related to the postal item that is the object of the ordered service, as well as to inform him about the packaging methods of a postal item, posted on https://sameday.ro/packaging-methods/?lang=en.
The sender is responsible for respecting the dimensions of the postal item, for proper packaging (inside and outside) and marking it correctly, so that the contents are not affected in any way (both during pick-up and transport, as well as the period during which it is stored in the locker).
Sameday assumes no responsibility for the content of the postal item, the postal item being loaded or delivered to the recipient, through the locker, only closed and sealed.
If the packaging and/or marking of the postal item is not done properly, the responsibility for any damage, the damage to the locker and/or its operating system, persons, or other postal items in the locker rests exclusively with the Beneficiary/sender.
The goods with special character (cosmetics, batteries, non-perishable food products) will comply with the “Packaging methods and restrictions on transport through the locker”, posted on the page https://sameday.ro/packaging-methods/?lang=en.
Sameday’s exclusions of liability in relation to locker/easybox usage:
Sameday assumes no liability in the following situations:
The recipient does not complete the process of picking up the postal item from the locker as provided above.
The recipient does not take over the postal item within the term communicated by the notices and the information received from Sameday.
The recipient does not pick up all postal items loaded in the box and destined to him.
The parcel is picked up by a third party who has been given access to the box used, and the delivery process is completed.
The recipient loads personal belongings into the box.
The recipient loads (for the purpose of returning a postal item) the locker box in which he found a postal item left unpicked from a previously incomplete consignment of goods, and the pick-up process has been completed.
In case of any complaint and notification, Sameday will conduct internal investigations and will transmit to the client the related resolution, and if this resolution is proven through video images stored through the video system installed on the locker, they will be disclosed only in a legal procedural framework, in compliance with GDPR regulations (European legislation of personal data protection).
Postal items shall be packed in postal items bearing inscriptions contrary to the public orders or morality, or postal items shall consist of goods contrary to the public orders or morality, if these are submitted unpacked or in transparent packaging. *
The postal items bear old labels or inscriptions not removed. *
Postal items do not comply with the maximum permissible dimensions and weight. **
* The Sender/ the Beneficiary is solely responsible for ensuring adequate interior and exterior packaging of the postal item.
** The Sender/the Beneficiary is solely responsible for checking the dimensions and maximum permissible weight of the postal item.
Delivery times of postal items through lockers:
The period of time in which the recipient of a postal item can pick it up from the locker is maximum of 36 hours calculated from the moment of the recipient’s notification by which he is informed about the loading by Sameday of the postal item in the locker. If the recipient does not pick up the postal item within the term specified above, Sameday will return the postal item to the attention of the sender, bearing the costs related to the return.
Sameday allows its recipients to request through SAMEDAY App, at any time after uploading the postal item in locker/easybox, the extension of the term of keeping the postal item in locker/easybox for a maximum period of 24 hours calculated in relation to the maximum term initially provided, for a fee.
The delivery of a postal item through the locker is made every day of the week, 24/7, according to a non-stop or distinct schedule, according to the information posted on the page https://sameday.ro/news/r/
After the moment Sameday loads the postal item in the locker, the recipient is notified with all the information necessary to have access to the locker in order to pick up his postal item (QR code/e-mail/notification through SAMEDAY App, which will contain the PIN code).
Scanning the QR code by the recipient or entering the PIN code in the electronic system in the technical column of the locker will unlock the box in which the postal item is stored. The process of picking up the postal item by the recipient is completed by ensuring that the door of the box where the postal item was stored is closed and by digitally ticking the screen and completing the process of picking up the postal item at its destination.
Payment for services performed through the locker:
The payment of cash on delivery services can be made only based on the bank card, through the easybox’s POS terminal, before the actual pick-up of the postal item from the locker.
Packaging methods:
Sameday, as a postal and courier service provider, wants to prevent situations in which postal items (parcels) taken over can deteriorate when they transit the postal network of lockers.
In this situation, our partners must ensure that postal items handed over to Sameday for transport and to be delivered through lockers are packed according to the following specifications, found on the page https://sameday.ro/packaging-methods/?lang=en.
Goods and substances prohibited
9.1. The following goods are forbidden to be transported, picked up and delivered through the lockers:
Firearms or disassembled weapons, ammunition for firearms – regardless of type, shape or caliber
9.2. The following goods are forbidden to be delivered through the lockers:
Tobacco products (tobacco, electronic cigarettes and refill bottes, herbal products for smoking, flavored heated tobacco, cigarettes, leaf cigarettes, cigarillos and pipes)
Cosmetics not resistant to heat or frost
Tobacco products
9.3. The following substances are forbiden for transport:
Toxic substances
Infectious substances
Radioactive substances
Gases (flammable, toxic, non-flammable)
Substances subject to spontaneous ignition
Substances which, in contact with water, emit flammable gase
Organic peroxides
Corrosive substances
Substances in the category “Dangerous substances” and/or included in the category ADR
